Although we are excited to know that we are going to sell our truck because maybe we will buy a new one, we must always understand that this process of selling used vehicles takes a series of steps.
These range from preparing the vehicle, gathering the papers, completing all the paperwork for its new owner, to collecting the documents. To be more informed, we share the necessary papers in truck trading (ซื้อขาย รถ บรรทุก, which is the term in Thai).
Original Vehicle Invoice
The person interested in buying your truck will probably ask you for the original invoice of the purchase you made, since they need to know all their history.
Confirm that the invoice does not say the word “taxed”, as this may indicate to your potential buyer that you have not finished paying for the truck. If you are still paying for the financing, let them know so they can reach an agreement.
Current Circulation Card
One of the necessary papers to sell a truck is to have the current circulation card since it protects the drivers that the truck is their property.
Papers Of Last Verification And Paid Holdings
No one wants to be arrested for not paying the verification or tenure, so make sure you have these documents up to date as they are one of the necessary papers in second handed truck trading (ซื้อขาย รถ บรรทุก มือ สอง, which is the term in Thai).
If you are not up to date with these documents, you will not only create distrust of the buyer, but the offer will decrease since if you do not pay your debts, the buyer will have to take care of them, and nobody wants that.
Approval Of The Insurance Company To The New Owner
If you are transferring your insurance, an endorsement from the insurance company will establish that the new owner of the vehicle will be responsible for paying the insurance from the date of sale.
If you want to avoid this step, the simplest thing in these cases is to cancel your insurance and have the new owner take out your own insurance.
